About the course
The HUCAD Advanced Course in Kidney Transplantation is a unique,
intensive two-day surgical training course conducted using cadaveric
models. The course includes a pre-course theoretical component,
comprising eight video-based educational modules to be completed
prior to attendance.
Nevertheless, the course is predominantly practical and hands-on. Each participant takes part in 12 surgical procedures, alternating between the roles of primary surgeon and assistant. The training covers the complete kidney transplantation procedure, from kidney procurement—both laparoscopic and cadaveric—through back-table graft preparation to graft implantation.
