About the course
Monoclonal gammopathies (MG) are highly prevalent haematological
disorders that can lead to severe disease. As an age-associated
disorder, and due to the easy access to diagnostic tests, the number of
cases is expected to increase.
The current clinical tools allow for a very accurate assessment of prognosis, which may guide the best approach to each patient. As such, this course aims to provide a clear vision on how generalist physicians may provide the best guidance to a suspected MG, how clinical findings should be interpreted, which tests provide the most information, when to refer to a specialist and how to complement the specialist’s follow-up.
